FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • WHY ARE THERE BUBBLES OR RIPPLES IN MY CARPET?

    • As the carpet dries, these bubbles or ripples should start to lay flat again. Once it is dry they should be virtually unnoticeable. This is usually a sign that the carpet was in need of re-stretching prior to the carpet cleaning. If these ripples do not go away after it is completely dry, please contact us with more information.

  • CAN YOU GUARANTEE THE REMOVAL OF ALL STAINS IN THE CARPET?

    • We cannot guarantee that we will remove all carpet spots or stains. There are substances that can permanently discolor the carpet fibers. The age of the carpet and the type of carpet fibers also plays a factor in this. The technician will try to determine if this is the case prior to cleaning but they are not always able to determine this before trying to remove the spots.

  • WHAT IS THE AVERAGE TIME OF A TYPICAL RESIDENTIAL CLEANING?

    • On average, it will take approximately 20 minutes per room. This time can vary greatly depending on the amount of furniture to be moved, how soiled the carpet is, and any necessary spot removal treatments.

  • DO YOU OFFER CLEANING AFTER HOURS?

    • Yes, we offer after hour cleanings when scheduled. We do consider after hours to be times after 6pm.

  • WILL MY TOTAL EVER BE MORE THAN WHAT I WAS QUOTED?

    • The Total will be contingent on the amount of care that has been taken prior to cleaning which can be determined by our technicians.

  • CAN YOU MOVE MY FURNITURE FOR ME BEFORE CLEANING?

    • Our trained technicians will move most furniture for an additional charge. There are several items we will not move such as, but not limited to, pianos, electronics, china cabinets, beds, dressers with mirrors, pool tables, etc. To save on this charge we recommend you move furniture in the areas you want cleaned.

  • WHAT METHOD OF CARPET CLEANING DO YOU USE?

    • The method we use for carpet cleaning is a process called hot water extraction. Hot water extraction gently removes tough dirt without damaging the carpet. Hot, clean water and a specially formulated cleaning solution are injected deep within the carpet fibers. Then, a powerful suction extracts deep-down dirt, allergens, cleaning solution and 95% of the moisture. It’s the cleaning method most recommended by carpet manufacturers.

  • WHAT IS CONSIDERED A ROOM?

    • Typically, a room is about 250 square feet. Any area over 300 square feet but less than 600 square feet is priced as two areas. Non-standard areas (baths, halls, landings, walk-in-closets, etc.) are priced separately from the standard areas, usually at a lesser price.

  • Does carpet cleaning get rid of fleas?

    • We cannot guarantee carpet cleaning will get rid of all the fleas. We recommend that the you kill the adult fleas first by whichever method you prefer. This is something that a professional exterminator might be able to help with. Please be aware that the carpet is not the only place fleas will lay eggs and you might want to consider having your upholstery treated and cleaned as well as any area rugs or pet beds.
